The venues of the Venice Biennale
The exhibition venues of the 52nd International Art Exhibition include the Padiglione Italia and the national pavilions at the Giardini, the Corderie, the Artiglierie and the other venues at the Arsenale. Countries that do not own a pavilion and institutions that set up collateral events are exhibited in other venues in Venice.
The 5th International Festival of Contemporary Dance takes place in the Arsenale venues (Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, Teatro alle Tese, and Tese delle Vergini) and in the Teatro Malibran.
The 39th International Theatre Festival takes place in the Arsenale venues, in the Campo San Trovaso, the Teatro Universitario di Santa Marta, and the Teatro Goldoni.
The 64th Venice International Film Festival will take place in the venues on the Venice Lido, some of them associated with the birth of the festival in the 1930's (Palazzo del Cinema and Palazzo del Casiṇ) and some newly set up (PalaLido and PalaBiennale).
